Change The Beat Teams Up With Sara Landry & HEKATE Records For Remix Competition Supporting Women & Gender Expansive Artists – Electric Mode

Global non-profit Change the Beat is creating new opportunities for women and gender expansive artists in electronic music through a new remix competition with leading Techno artist Sara Landry and her label, HEKATE Records. The competition invites Change the Beat’s community to remix Sara Landry and Alex Farell’s ‘Angel Dust’, with the winning submission considered for an official release on HEKATE Records.

Alongside the release opportunity, the competition will offer prizes from Native Instruments, with first place receiving a Komplete 15 Collector’s Edition, second place receiving Komplete 15 Ultimate and third place receiving Komplete 15 Standard. Participants can also access Native Instruments’ Komplete Start, a free collection of instruments and effects. Open to aspiring artists globally who identify as female or gender expansive, the competition offers emerging producers a direct route to connect with established artists, labels and industry decision-makers. Submissions are open until Monday, October 5th, 2026 at 23:59 PST, with full contest details, rules and stems available via the LabelRadar contest portal.

Change the Beat’s latest remix competition builds on significant momentum for the organisation, following its recent pledge to support 300 women and gender expansive electronic music artists in securing label opportunities by 2028. Having already facilitated more than 100 label opportunities and signings through its growing network of labels, artists and industry partners, the organisation continues to develop new routes for its community to access the wider electronic music industry.

Artists connected to the programme have also worked on projects involving artists including deadmau5, Nicole Moudaber, Eli & Fur, Crystal Waters, Ultra Naté, Maya Jane Coles, DJ Minx, VNSSA, Giorgia Angiuli and Azzecca.

For Change the Beat, the ‘Angel Dust’ competition represents another step in its work to connect its community with established names in electronic music, linking emerging producers directly with Sara Landry, HEKATE Records and the wider industry.

Change the Beat will also soon announce an international Change the Beat tour, bringing its artist development and industry access programmes to cities across the U.S., Canada and Europe.
