Psych-punk pioneers Butthole Surfers announce latest batch of reissues – UNCUT

Texas psych-punk weirdos Butthole Surfers will continue their reissue programme with remasters of 1991’s Piouhgd and 2002 compilation Humpty Dumpty LSD coming to vinyl via Matador Records on December 11.

Released in ‘the year punk broke’, the Buttholes’ fifth album Piouhgd contains their crazed cover of Donovans’ “The Hurdy Gurdy Man”. Humpty Dumpty LSD meanwhile rounds-up outtakes and curios from the decade before that.

Pre-order Piouhgd here and Humpty Dumpty LSD here. You can read much more about Butthole Surfers’ gonzo adventures in the latest issue of Uncut – more details on that here.
