Apple Music Venue Battersea Is Opening and It Holds 600 – Electric Mode

Apple Music Venue Battersea Is Opening and It Holds 600 – Electric Mode

The Apple Music venue Battersea fans have been waiting for is finally real. Apple has confirmed plans to open Apple Music Hall, a purpose-built 600-capacity live music space inside Battersea Power Station, and the spec sheet reads less like a club and more like a dream studio that also lets 600 people in to watch.

A Flexible Stage Built for Artists and Atmosphere

The venue wraps itself around the power station’s iconic heritage brickwork and original architectural details, so the bones of the building stay intact. At the heart of the room sits a 38ft stage that can flip between a traditional front-facing setup and a full in-the-round configuration, giving artists the kind of production muscle you’d normally associate with an arena tour while keeping the crowd close enough to feel every drop. That flexibility is a genuine selling point for performers who want scale without sacrificing atmosphere.

Spatial Audio Recording and Professional Studios

Backstage is where it gets properly interesting. Apple Music Hall runs two dedicated recording and mix studios built to professional standards, and every performance gets captured as a full multitrack recording mix. The entire venue is designed to record shows simultaneously in Spatial Audio, so what happens on that stage can be packaged as immersive live content rather than just a standard filmed gig. Apple is clearly positioning this as a content engine as much as a concert space, and for electronic music fans that could mean studio-quality live recordings from artists who rarely get that treatment.

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and International Content, framed the opening as a natural extension of the company’s history with music. “Apple’s deep love for music dates all the way back to the very beginning, from the launch of the iPod to the long-running iTunes Music Festival to the debut of Apple Music,” he said. “Today, with the opening of Apple Music Hall, we are once again taking an unprecedented step further in our commitment to artists and fans by supporting live music in ways only Apple can do.” Bold claim, but a 600-capacity room with arena production and pro studios inside one of London’s most iconic buildings does back it up.

What It Means for Live Music in London

Battersea Power Station events have grown steadily since the site reopened as a mixed-use destination, and Apple Music live shows in this space could make it one of the more compelling stops on the London circuit. A 600 capacity music hall London genuinely needs, given how many mid-size venues the city has lost over the past decade.
