This will be the last article for a while if all goes to plan and I actually get to go on my hols to sunny Spain. Picked a great year to decide to drive all the way round the edge of the entire country, it seems. Barring fuel rationing, we’ll be tootling around for the best part of three weeks. Been looking forward to this for ages. If the demented man in the White House hasn’t f**ked it up for us, I’ll be amazed, but as I’ve often said in this column, ours are first-world problems. If we get stranded, we’ll try to look at it as an adventure we can talk about in later years with a smile.

And therefore, I would refer you to the podcasts, which will continue unabated, given that I have prerecorded some interviews to see us through my time away. If you’ve not had a listen before, I can really recommend some of the upcoming guests and indeed tracks. In the next couple of months, I will be speaking to Steve Prior of the Boia Festival, MC Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger, Michael Timmins of Cowboy Junkies, Allan Jones of Melody Maker, and UNCUT infamy. As well as Ella Spencer, The Sheepdogs, Eric B Johnson of Fruit Bats & Bonny Light Horseman, and Dylan Le Blanc, amongst others.

So please remember to check in for not only interviews but also the latest releases and tracks from the website pages. Also, if you sign up as a site supporter, you can see the videos of each interview, which include lots of chat not featured in the final podcast. What’s not to like?

This week it’s been holiday sounds, so some Josh Rouse and America. The radio show features Alberta Cross, Kevin Morby, Dean Owens, Sunstack Jones, MJ Lendeman, and much more. As ever…
