Who’s ready for some sleuthing as we bring you the chance to win a Queens of Mystery series 2 DVD in our new giveaway here on Blazing Minds.

MURDER MYSTERY royalty is back in Queens of Mystery, as the second series of the witty and whimsical Emmy® nominated crime caper receives its long-awaited DVD and digital release on 6 April, courtesy of Acorn Media International, following its release on U&Drama.

Created for television by writer Julian Unthank (Doc Martin, New Tricks), the bold and colourful series features a stellar female-led British cast with Julie Graham (This City Is Ours, Shetland) as the rebellious Aunt Cat, Sarah Woodward (Professor T, Supernova) as the motherly Aunt Beth and Siobhan Redmond (Frankenstein, Between the Lines) as the book smart Aunt Jane. They are joined by Florence Hall (This Is Not a Murder Mystery) as detective niece Matilda Stone and Juliet Stevenson (Bend It Like Beckham, Truly, Madly, Deeply) in her Emmy®- nominated role as narrator.

Series two finds DS Matilda Stone (Hall) happily settled back in her picturesque hometown of Wildemarsh,
working for the Marsh Valley Police alongside her by-the-book boss, Inspector Thorne (Martin Trenaman – The Inbetweeners) and her eager police colleague, PC Terry Foster (Michael Elcock). However, it’s not long before the town has a killer in its midst, and as always, her mystery-writing aunts – who believe their knowledge of crime fiction makes them perfectly qualified to help – are on hand to assist in the investigations. Still haunted by the mystery of her mother’s disappearance when she was just three years old, Matilda dives headlong into a case with a surprising link to her mother’s vanishing, and as more information begins to surface, tensions rise amongst the Stone sisters, sending shockwaves through the whole village.

Crimes include a murder at a health spa, where Matilda finds several people with distinctly unhealthy intentions towards each other, an art-fuelled murder mystery and a robbery with clues reminiscent of her own mother’s disappearance.

Prepare for Queens of Mystery Series 2 to rule with its outstanding female-led cast, picturesque setting,
gloriously entertaining scripts and wickedly offbeat whodunnits, it would be a crime to miss it.
