Fantastic news for one of my favourite films of 2025 as Sinners rises to Number 1, climbing four places to reclaim the top spot, continuing its remarkable run following multiple Oscar wins. The dark, character-driven drama follows twin brothers returning to their Mississippi hometown in search of a fresh start, only to discover an even greater evil waiting to welcome them back — a gripping exploration of guilt, redemption and the past that refuses to stay buried.

Last week’s chart-topper, Wicked – For Good, slips to Number 2, after previously securing four non-consecutive weeks at Number 1. The spectacular musical sequel remains a firm audience favourite, bringing Elphaba and Glinda’s story to its emotional conclusion with powerful performances and unforgettable show-stopping numbers.

A huge climb sees One Battle After Another surge 14 places to Number 3. The sweeping action-driven epic continues to gather momentum thanks to its large-scale spectacle and intense storytelling, drawing viewers into its high-stakes conflicts and layered character drama.

    Dune Film Review - Still1

Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi landmark Dune (2021) returns to prominence at Number 4, rising ten places. The visually breathtaking adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel continues to impress with its epic world-building, striking score and powerhouse performances led by Timothée Chalamet.

Dropping two places to Number 5, Shelter remains firmly in the Top 10. The tense drama continues to connect with audiences through its emotionally charged story of survival, trust and resilience under pressure.

Spider-Man from Columbia Pictures’ SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.

A major re-entry surge sees Spider-Man – No Way Home leap from Number 29 to Number 6. The multiverse-spanning Marvel blockbuster remains hugely popular, thanks to its thrilling action, nostalgic surprises and the return of fan-favourite characters from across Spider-Man’s cinematic history.

Falling five places this week, Zootropolis 2 lands at Number 7. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde’s latest animated adventure continues to entertain families with its sharp humour, vibrant storytelling and heartfelt themes.

Rising twelve places to Number 8, Weapons builds momentum once again. The unsettling thriller from Zach Cregger keeps audiences guessing with its eerie atmosphere and unpredictable narrative twists.

A strong climb of 17 sees Hamnet arrive at Number 9. This moving literary adaptation brings Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel to the screen with a poetic exploration of grief, family and the emotional life that inspired Shakespeare’s work.

Rounding out the Top 10, The Super Mario Bros. Movie jumps eight places to Number 10. The colourful animated adventure continues to delight viewers with its fast-paced action, nostalgic references and faithful recreation of Nintendo’s beloved world.
