    Boards Of Canada confirm title and release date of long-awaited fifth album


    After weeks of mysterious VHS transmissions and enigmatic poster campaigns, Boards Of Canada have confirmed that their long-awaited fifth album Inferno will be released by Warp on May 29.

    Inferno will be available on special edition limited red translucent 2LP vinyl in a triple gatefold sleeve with 16-page booklet, as well as standard black 2LP vinyl, CD and digital formats. Pre-order/pre-save here and check out the tracklisting below:

    It’s not clear if “Tape 05”, which was uploaded to YouTube last week, corresponds to Track 05 on the album – i.e. “Father And Son” – whether it’s a different track, or perhaps doesn’t appear at all. As ever with Boards Of Canada, the details remain tantalisingly elusive…
