Hailing from Alexandria, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.) is pop-infused Americana three-piece Franklin Gotham. Their new song, “Lisboa”, is a shimmering indie-pop tune which sounds like it has been written for the current weather that is basking all over Europe.

… ashimmering, sun-drenched indie-pop anthem that serves as the perfect soundtrack for the summer.

This is one of those out-and-out Sunkist epics, with guitar tones that remind us of Vampire Weekend and Foals’ upbeat tunes. The song is also rather hazy in terms of its guitar effects, but this is all balanced off with those upbeat drums and hooky vocal tones.

If you are a fan of the more upbeat songs by The Courteeners, then this new song by Franklin Gotham is certainly going to be one that you will like from the very first play.
