Americana 25 festival with Chuck Prophet, Steve Wynn and more comes to Liverpool in November – heres how you can get your tickets

Last week we announced details of Americana 25, our celebration of 25 years of Americana UK, which comes to two stages across Liverpool’s Rough Trade venue and Quaker Meeting House later this year on Saturday November 28th, and we’re pleased today to be able to share ticket details for the event. Aiming to keep the event affordable for everyone, there will be two tiers of tickets, a standard £38+booking fees ticket and a solidarity ticket of £48+booking fees for those who can afford it, which allows us to further support our chosen charities, the American Civil Liberties Union and Medical Aid for Palestinians – the solidarity ticket also includes a free festival programme. We have also managed to keep equivalent booking fees down to under £2 per ticket.Either way, with the event running from 1pm-11pm we hope you’ll agree it’s great value for a whole day’s entertainment. Tickets are on sale from this link tomorrow (Friday 3rd April) at 10am.

Headlining the event will be an exclusive UK performance from Chuck Prophet and the Echo Strings, featuring a four-piece string quartet, so you can hear Chuck’s songs like you have never heard them before. Also on the bill is legendary singer, musician and songwriter Steve Wynnof The Dream Syndicate, Newcastle-based bluegrass band The Often Herd and Scotland’s Dean Owens who recently recorded a much praised album with Calexico. There’s music too from Utah’s Drew Danburry who makes his way over to the UK for the first time in over a decade, plus some of the best homegrown americana from classic names we have featured here on AUK over the years including Danny George Wilson, Peter Bruntnell, Our Man in the Field, Smalltown Jones, Elaine Palmer, My Girl the River and Ella Spencer, and music of course from Liverpool’s own Barry Jones.

We really hope you can join us there wherever you are in the country or the wider world and of course you also get to sample the delights of one of the greatest cities in the world. As the old joke goes, which is England’s second city? The Mancunian says, “Manchester”, the Brummie says “Birmingham”, the Scouser says “London”. See you here in November!
