Linds debuts on A State of Trance with uplifting, melodic new single Destiny – Electric Mode

Linds makes his debut on A State of Trance with ‘Destiny’, an uplifting and melodic new single that brings together the energy of modern trance with the emotional spirit of classic uplifting trance. Driven by a powerful lead melody, energetic drums and a timeless trance bassline, the track is built around a feeling of dancefloor euphoria and positivity.

Inspired by the sound of 90s trance and classics such as Three Drives’ ‘Greece 2000’, ‘Destiny’ captures the spirit of a golden era while delivering a fresh, contemporary take on the genre. The result is a nostalgic yet forward-looking anthem designed for hands-in-the-air moments, with the kind of emotional energy that can close a set on a high and leave an impression long after the final note has faded.

‘Destiny’ was born in an unusual setting. Rather than inside a studio, the track took shape during a five-hour train journey from Warsaw to Berlin as Linds travelled to a show. The defining melody arrived almost instantly, inspired by a tune faintly playing through the headphones of a passenger seated nearby. As the scenery rolled by and the coffee kept flowing, the rest of the record quickly came together.

Before the train had even reached Berlin, the first full demo was complete. Later that night, Linds gave the track its first dancefloor test at Berlin’s Lokschuppen Club. Encouraged by the response, he spent the return journey to Warsaw refining the arrangement and making subtle adjustments, shaping ‘Destiny’ into the euphoric trance anthem heard today.

This creative process has become a natural part of Linds’ routine. As a touring DJ, he often uses long hours spent travelling to sketch ideas, build arrangements and experiment with new melodies. In the case of ‘Destiny’, that habit became an essential part of the track’s identity, with the surroundings, anticipation of an upcoming show and energy of life on the road all playing a part in its creation.

For Linds, the release also represents an important step in his artistic evolution. While he has become increasingly associated with groovy and energetic trance, ‘Destiny’ explores a more melodic and uplifting side of his sound, bringing influences that have long been part of his musical identity further to the forefront.

After almost nine years of producing music, releasing on A State of Trance represents a major milestone and the fulfilment of a long-held dream. Beyond being one of the most iconic names in trance, ASOT helped lay the foundations for a sound that continues to inspire new generations of artists and is enjoying a resurgence today. To now become part of that legacy with ‘Destiny’ is something Linds is incredibly proud of, and marks one of the most meaningful milestones of his career to date.

Linds’ ‘Destiny’ will be released on A State of Trance on 2 October.
