Sophia Sigma Unveils Otherworldly Psy Trance Opera Single La Melodie – Electric Mode

Internationally acclaimed electronic artist Sophia Sigma is set to transport listeners to another dimension with the release of her captivating new single La Melodie on 17th April 2026.

This psy trance opera track seamlessly blends Sophia Sigma’s classically trained operatic vocals, delivered in French, reflecting her upbringing in France, with pulsating psy trance production. Inspired by the early 2000s trance movement and artists such as Tiesto, the track aims to evoke an immersive, extraterrestrial experience, a sensation listeners frequently describe when encountering her music.

Sophia Sigma, who produces and performs in both psy trance and techno, co-produced La Melodie alongside Mau Montekio, whose exceptional contribution she praises highly. The vocals were meticulously recorded late at night in a home-based studio to eliminate any external noise and ensure pristine clarity.

Born in Armenia to a Yezidi family, raised between Russia and France, and now based in Amsterdam, Sophia Sigma’s musical journey defies convention. Classically trained in opera, she initially rose to prominence as a lead singer in rock and metal bands before discovering techno a decade ago, a pivotal shift that redefined her artistic path.

Her breakthrough moment arrived when she won the DENAR RCRDS ADE Sampler Contest with an original production. Since then, she has amassed an impressive discography, including a notable release on the iconic KMS Records, founded by Kevin Saunderson. Sophia Sigma also secured first place in a contest judged by Rebekah, earning an official soundtrack placement in the film When the Music Ends. As a producer, songwriter, and vocalist, her music has appeared on labels such as Berlin Techno Music, Club Supply Records, and Critical Sounds Recordings. She has featured on multiple episodes of Plazma Records and made her debut performance at the label’s Minimal Mondays event in Zurich.

With a growing international footprint, Sophia Sigma has performed as a DJ for Ephimera Tulum and at the Amsterdam Dance Event, steadily establishing her unique presence in the global electronic music scene.

La Melodie invites audiences to lose themselves in a hypnotic fusion of operatic grandeur and psychedelic rhythms, an invitation to escape to another planet through sound.

Sophia Sigma is an electronic artist, producer, songwriter, and vocalist whose boundary-pushing sound merges her operatic training with the raw energy of techno and psy trance. From her roots in Armenia, Russia, and France to her current base in Amsterdam, she continues to innovate and expand her reach in the international electronic landscape.
