Sylvester Qy delivers a vibrant slice of old school piano house with the release of his new single ‘Pulse’, an uplifting club track designed for sun-drenched dancefloors and energetic summer nights.
Crafted with a classic piano house feel, ‘Pulse’ captures the flirty energy of a club night through driving four-to-the-floor rhythms and soulful vocal attitude. The track draws inspiration from the unmistakable sound of early dancefloor anthems, blending diva-soaked energy with a groove built for open-air parties, late-night sets, and hands-in-the-air moments. It was produced over two and a half days at Noatune Studios in London by Sylvester Qy alongside studio engineer Rowan Hopkins. The release features vocals drawn from a previous Sylvester Qy recording, creatively reimagined and woven into the new mix.
Sylvester Qy, who produced the track, describes it as a fun summer club song with a flirty scenario at its heart. He highlights the distinctive piano house vibe as what makes the record stand out. Co-writers include Rowan Hopkins and featured artist Ellie, alongside Sylvester Qy himself. The artist hopes listeners will find ‘Pulse’ a memorable summer sound and takes the opportunity to remind everyone to never give up on their dreams or aspirations, noting that music remains the soundtrack of his life.
Born in London to parents from the Caribbean island of Antigua, Sylvester Qy grew up immersed in music. He collected records, DJ’d at house parties, and later transitioned into music production on a home computer before completing a music production course. By day, he works as an electrician, treating music as a passionate hobby that he has taken to a professional level. His sound is shaped by 80s soul, 80s hip hop, and 90s house and UK garage influences.
Specialising in UK House and electronic dance music, Sylvester Qy has released a handful of tracks to date, with ‘Pulse’ marking a significant milestone. He is known for his creative and original sound and looks forward to more collaborations in the future.
