Thomas Bangalter Releases Circonvolutions Remix For New CHANEL Campaign – Electric Mode

Thomas Bangalter releases an original remix of the track “Circonvolutions” from the album Mythologies (released in 2023) to accompany the new global campaign for the Bleu de CHANEL fragrance directed by Alfonso Cuarón and brought to the screen by actor Jacob Elordi.

“Mythologies” is Thomas Bangalter’s first composition for orchestra, conceived upon request of choreographer Angelin Preljocaj for the ballet of the same name. It is a large and lyrical work in which Bangalter, co-founder of Daft Punk, reinvents his relationship to composition. This new remix of “Circonvolutions” serves as a rare bridge where his classical orchestration meets an electronic reinvention.

This exclusive collaboration with CHANEL arrives in the midst of vital creative chapter for Bangalter, serving as the perfect prelude to his highly anticipated new album : “MIRAGE – Ballet for 16 dancers” (to be released on June 5, 2026). Abandoning orchestral structures for a sweeping, minimalist, and atmospheric electronic piece, “MIRAGE” is the score for a ballet for 16 dancers conceived by choreographer Damien Jalet and contemporary artist Kōhei Nawa, created in Geneva in 2025.

A third creative component unfolds in the same week in Parisian public spaces through a new monumental art installation: following their previous collaborations, the multidisciplinary artist JR invited Thomas Bangalter to imagine the sound dimension of La Caverne du Pont Neuf. This public artwork will transform Paris’s oldest bridge into a cavern for three weeks.
