Two of London’s most forward-thinking experimental artists, BODUR and Coby Sey, have joined forces for their collaborative three-track EP, BOX OF TRICKS. Following lead single ‘LEAVE’, the project brings together their distinctive approaches to alternative R&B, electronic music and experimental production, exploring themes of youth, class, displacement and missed opportunities.
Written and produced alongside Gabriel Gifford, with additional production from Harvey Causon on ‘Again’, the EP balances unconventional soundscapes with deeply personal storytelling. The title track began life as a stream of consciousness poem, inspired by global conflict and the displacement of children, with BODUR drawing on the traditional British magpie nursery rhyme to reflect the unsettling nature of today’s news cycle.
