Venus Anon returns with new single “florence!”, the second taste of her forthcoming four track EP Will You Allow It?.
Produced by Venus herself, the delicate, guitar led track is a deeply personal love letter to her younger sister, who was born when the Swedish artist was sixteen. Taking its title from the middle name Venus chose for her, “florence!” explores the responsibility of being an older sister and the desire to set a good example, while recognising that nobody gets it right all the time.
“It’s a love letter, a thank you and an ‘I’ll do my best and I pray it’s enough,’” Venus explains.
Following previous single “gentle”, which explored anger, restraint and choosing softness, “florence!” turns its attention towards love, influence and allowing the people closest to us to change who we are. Together, the tracks begin to reveal the emotional heart of Will You Allow It?, a project rooted in vulnerability, connection and personal transformation.
The new music continues a strong period for Venus Anon following Catharsis and its ambient reworking cathy, quietly. Having previously earned a Swedish Grammy nomination, Venus took home Årets RnB/Soul at Manifestgalan 2026, while her distinctive, genre blurring sound has attracted support from COLORS, Dazed, Clash, The Line of Best Fit and The Needle Drop.
