French avant-garde metal collective Deliverance are set to unleash their highly anticipated fourth studio album, The Voyager Golden Banquet, on 22nd May 2026 through acclaimed underground label Les Acteurs de l’Ombre.
Formed in 2013 by guitarist Etienne Sarthou (Karras, Freitot, ex-AqME) and vocalist/keyboardist Pierre Duneau (ex-Memories of a Dead Man), the Parisian outfit has solidified its position as a benchmark fixture within the European extreme music underground. Following the breakthrough success of their highly acclaimed back-to-back releases, 2020’s Holocaust 26:1-46 and 2022’s Neon Chaos in a Junk-Sick Dawn – which saw the band command stages at major global gatherings like Hellfest and Motocultor – the group’s latest chapter signals an entirely uncharted creative evolution.
While the band’s core musical architecture remains firmly tethered to a dark, punishing framework of black metal and heavy sludge, The Voyager Golden Banquet deliberately tears down traditional stylistic constraints. Listeners will encounter an interstellar, cinematic space odyssey that aggressively weaves in textures of progressive post-rock, cosmic Pink Floydian psychedelia, contemporary indie-rock arrangements, and minimalist electronic layers. Stripping away the purely oppressive and cathartic weight of its studio predecessor, the album charts a tumultuous, sometimes unsettling, yet deeply serene sonic journey toward inner artistic peace and light.
