Now that we’re in May, we’re closing in fast on Call of the Wild and we’re going to be back for another year! So we’re getting to know as many of the bands set to play the Trailblazer Stage in 2026 that we can pin down. Voodoo Sioux play the Saturday.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
West Midlands.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Since 1991. Same line up.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Sat around my house one night and it just sounded good together.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Although there are certain bands we all like, generally speaking we all have widely differing tastes in music. When these are put together in the melting pot, out comes a kaleidoscope of weird, wonderful and beautiful tunes. No songs are ever the same, but always unique. Voodoo unique.

What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
They will fall in love with our bass player!
Have you been to Call of the Wild before? What did you think?
Not been before.
Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Call of the Wild?
When we got the green light – awesome!
What sort of setlist can we expect?
It’ll be tracks from all our albums and our latest EP.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
We are on at 15:20. Looking forward to seeing our friends in Soul Revival and The Hot One Two and the very talented young band RetsecroWs. Especially looking forward to Von Hertzen brothers.
What are you working on at the moment?
Just released an EP, working on our next album.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
