A brand-new contender for England’s ultimate football soundtrack is here with the release of The Time Is Right Now, the latest single from Bassline Lions – already being tipped as “The song of the Summer. The song of the World Cup” by Olly Murs!

Packed with energy, pride, and an undeniable sense of unity, The Time Is Right Now captures the spirit of a nation rallying behind its team. With an infectious melody and instantly memorable hook, fans are already singing along.

Blazing Minds caught up with Fenton Gee of Bassline Lions for a chat…

What’s the story behindThe Time Is Right Now, and how did it come together so quickly in just four weeks?

Ian can take the credit on this one!!!

He came to me with some awesome lyrics and an idea to another backing track in the genre of music he liked, I then recorded his idea and sent it to Blakey for his input and musical knowledge – we both then came up with The Time Is Right Now!

What made you want to create a football anthem for England fans this summer?

Ian again comes up with awesome ideas – be it lyrics or just creative ideas that need to be made into reality – this is just what Ian’s imagination does!

It wasn’t necessarily going to be an England summer anthem – I think it just happened to turn out as one!

How would you describe Bassline Lions new single in your own words?

    Uplifting, energising, positive and infectious!

What do you hope fans feel when they hear it for the first time in stadiums or pubs?

Just to feel positivity, be happy, smile and want to dance! (And England to win).

How important was it to capture that “singalong” energy in the hook?

We want to relate to people and to get everyone involved – and with Ian’s expertise delivered it!

You’ve already had praise fromOlly Murs— how does that feel at this stage of the release?

It’s amazing to be endorsed by such a credible public figure, him amongst other familiar public names and faces have all lived the movement. That’s coz the time is right NOW!
