Bank Holiday Introduce 90s Alt-Rock Edge On Debut Single Out Of The Blue

Bank Holiday Introduce 90s Alt-Rock Edge On Debut Single Out Of The Blue

Manchester indie trio Bank Holiday introduce themselves with Out Of The Blue, a debut single shaped by 90s alt-rock energy, direct guitar movement, and a self-recorded studio process.

Fresh from acoustic dates with Jamie Webster, Bank Holiday keep it direct on Out Of The Blue: bright guitars, punchy drums, grounded bass, and idiom-led writing that turns unpredictability into the hook.

    Lead singer Mac McCartney explains:

‘Out of the Blue‘ came from an idea me and Luke had about trying to fit as many well known sayings and idioms into one song as we could. It started off as a bit of a challenge, but it ended up shaping the whole track. Luke Owens, our guitarist, records all of our stuff in his studio himself, which gave us the freedom to experiment with the track over the course of a few months and also to keep it feeling natural. It’s a song about unpredictability really, how things can change when you least expect it, but also very open ended at the same time.

That in-house setup gives Bank Holiday an early edge. Out Of The Blue lands as guitar-pop with live mileage, sharp hooks, and enough roughness left in the frame to feel like a real band, not a launch deck.
