Cybèle returns with Lovergirl, released via Siren Studios, folding contemporary R&B and dream-pop into a tighter study of self-worth, softness, and emotional boundary-setting.
Created with Grammy-winning songwriter Tristan Rice, the track pairs lush harmonies, atmospheric texture, and elegant production with Cybèle’s expressive vocal control.
French-American composer, producer, and multidisciplinary artist Cybèle explains:
‘Lovergirl‘ is about the journey of pain, beauty, and self-acceptance that comes with learning that love and discernment don’t always live in the same place. As women who love deeply, we have to learn to match our capacity for giving with our ability to recognise who is truly capable of receiving it. This song sits in that tension, and ultimately, in the grace of letting go.

Raised across Paris, Beijing, Los Angeles, and New York City, Cybèle brings a global frame to modern pop and R&B, blending orchestral detail, gospel warmth, vintage soul, and contemporary production.
With a background spanning Harvard, Berklee, musical theatre, brand collaborations, and socially engaged creative work, Lovergirl feels less like a standalone single and more like another signal from a wider creative system.
No over-explaining, no emotional cosplay. Just a polished R&B-pop track about learning when love needs boundaries.
