DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: Anointed Tongue – The Way

Anointed Tongue The Way album streamIn this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we would like to introduce you to upcoming artist Anointed Tongue and his brand new album titled The Way.

Anointed Tongue has officially returned with his most defining body of work to date. His brand-new album, The Way, is out now, delivering a bold and deeply personal statement rooted in faith, struggle, and spiritual transformation.

More than just an album, The Way is the sound of a man who’s lived through life’s storms and emerged with purpose. Written over the course of six years and recorded between May and December 2025, the project captures Anointed Tongue’s journey through trials, self-discovery, and a life-changing encounter with Christ. Every track began as raw emotion on guitar, later shaped and refined alongside his producer into the polished, genre-bending experience listeners hear today.

From start to finish, The Way feels like testimony. It’s honest, unfiltered, and fearless in its message; standing as a creative outlet and spiritual declaration that reflects Anointed Tongue’s God-given calling: spreading the gospel through music.

Anointed Tongue’s artistry has never fit into one box, and The Way makes that clear. Though rooted in hip-hop, his sound ventures into blues, jazz, gospel, and even touches of heavy metal, rock, and funk, creating an unpredictable but cohesive sonic identity that is unmistakably his. It’s the culmination of years of experimentation across multiple genres, finally arriving at the artist he was meant to become.

Fans of lyrical depth and raw authenticity will find plenty to connect with here. Inspired by an eclectic range of legends including Bias B, Hilltop Hoods, Lazy Grey, Tupac, Jedi Mind Tricks, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Lecrae, NF, Vinny Paz, and Too Short, while also pulling musical influence from Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Rage Against the Machine, Megadeth, The Doors, and Eric Bibb; Anointed Tongue fuses multiple worlds into one spiritual, hard-hitting soundscape.

With The Way, Anointed Tongue isn’t chasing trends, he’s delivering truth.

This album is for the listeners who’ve battled doubt, carried pain, questioned their purpose, and kept walking anyway. It’s for anyone searching for meaning, looking for God, or simply needing something real. Anointed Tongue doesn’t just rap, he testifies, he reflects, and he challenges people to look inward and upward.

The Way is available now on all streaming platforms.

Tap in, turn it up, and experience the sound of purpose.
