DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH: T.E.E – Hits & Haymakers

T.E.E Hits & Haymakers album streamIn this new entry in our ‘Diamonds In The Rough’ category, we would like to re-introduce you to earlier featured artist T.E.E and his brand new album titled Hits & Haymakers.

Few albums capture the feeling of returning home quite like Hits & Haymakers, the latest full-length release from North Carolina’s own T.E.E. Inspired by a two-week trip back to his hometown of Goldsboro, this eleven-track project is fueled by familiar faces, hometown memories, and the unmistakable energy that only home can provide. Rather than simply reminiscing, T.E.E transforms those experiences into a confident body of work that celebrates growth while staying firmly connected to his roots.

From the opening moments of “The Scrivener”, T.E.E immediately establishes himself as a gifted storyteller. His writing remains one of the album’s greatest strengths, blending clever wordplay with personal reflections that feel authentic rather than manufactured. Throughout Hits & Haymakers, the lyrics carry purpose. Whether delivering sharp punchlines, reflecting on the environment that shaped him, or speaking with unwavering confidence, T.E.E consistently gives listeners something to unpack beyond the surface. His bars reward repeat listens, revealing new layers of meaning and craftsmanship each time.

Musically, the album offers an engaging balance between hard-hitting production and smoother, more reflective moments. Tracks like “U Think U Hov”, “Bounce”, and “HEATERZ FREESTYLE” showcase T.E.E’s lyrical confidence and commanding delivery, while songs such as “Back In Da’Boro” add a personal touch by painting vivid pictures of the hometown that inspired the project. It’s a reminder that some of the strongest hip-hop records come from artists who know exactly where they come from and aren’t afraid to tell those stories.

The featured collaborations also enhance the listening experience without overshadowing the main artist. Matrixx joins T.E.E on “Talkin’ Bout”, DOLLA BADASS brings additional energy to “Games”, and B Soulo closes the album beautifully on “So Good”. Each guest contributes naturally to the record while allowing T.E.E’s vision to remain front and center.

One of the album’s biggest strengths is its cohesion. T.E.E wears many hats as an artist, producer, and audio engineer, and that complete creative control is evident throughout the project. Every track feels intentional, with polished production supporting his lyrical performances rather than competing against them. The pacing keeps the momentum moving, making the concise runtime an advantage instead of a limitation.

Having developed his passion for music from an early age through hip-hop, poetry, and a love for language, T.E.E continues to demonstrate why he stands out as a complete artist. His versatility extends beyond rapping into production, engineering, and the business side of music, and that well-rounded experience shines throughout Hits & Haymakers.

Ultimately, Hits & Haymakers is more than just another hip-hop release. It’s a snapshot of an artist reconnecting with his roots while confidently showcasing how far he has come. Honest, lyrical, and packed with personality, T.E.E delivers an album that feels genuine from beginning to end. For listeners who appreciate thoughtful writing, memorable production, and authentic storytelling, Hits & Haymakers is well worth adding to the rotation.
