NAUT are rallying against consumption, capitalism and the daily grind on their haunting new single, Bury Your Freedom.
With a sound calling to mind the tones of The Cure, Joy Division and other such post-punk spooks (and it makes total sense that they once opened for Creeper), they say: “The single explores the quiet bargains we make to survive: surrendering time, liberty and fragments of ourselves in exchange for comfort, security and the illusion of success.
“It rails against a society that reduces life to spreadsheets, conference calls and sanitised consumption while manufacturing endless competition to keep us divided and obedient.”
