Philadelphia artist Max Swan returns with new single “LMK”, a warm and intimate track centred around showing up for the people you love. Blending piano, soulful vocals and understated production, the song draws on Swan’s jazz and alternative R&B influences while embracing a more stripped back approach to his songwriting.
The track is deeply connected to Swan’s own experiences, having spent the past five years rebuilding his home after a devastating flood in 2021. Much of “LMK” was written during long shifts working as a plumber, with Swan holding onto melodies and lyrics throughout the day before developing them at home. Its piano was even captured through a voice memo, later joined by EWI, sax, cello and bass.
