Pell ft: Kota the Friend – Thru The Lines (Single)

New Orleans artist Pell has joined forces with Brooklyn rapper Kota the Friend the Friend for “Thru The Lines”, a laid back yet deeply engaging hip hop collaboration that showcases the strengths of both artists.

Built around Pell’s groove heavy production and Kota’s distinctive lyrical flow, the track blends soulful textures with thoughtful storytelling, creating a natural chemistry between two of the most compelling independent voices in US hip hop.

Speaking on the release, Pell described the single as part of a wider creative exploration inspired by his return to New Orleans. “It’s deeper than genre, it’s a feeling,” he explains, referencing the bounce, colour and energy that continue to shape his evolving sound.

The collaboration arrives as another strong addition to Pell’s growing catalogue. The New Orleans native has amassed more than 200 million streams throughout his career, earning recognition through tracks such as “Juice” with Young Franco and “Got It Like That” featuring G-Eazy, while also building a reputation for seamlessly blending hip hop, R&B, electronic and bounce influences.

Beyond the music, Pell continues to expand his impact through glbl wrmng, the New Orleans based label and artist incubator he recently co-founded to help develop the next generation of local talent.

“Thru The Lines” feels like a natural meeting point between two artists who have built dedicated audiences through authenticity, creativity and a refusal to follow convention.
