Canadian hardcore veterans Cancer Bats have announced an extensive UK headline tour for October, bringing Ignite and Knives along for a month-long run of dates celebrating independent music venues across the country.
Dubbed the Marshall “Made Of Loud” Tour, the trek arrives as anticipation continues to build for the band’s upcoming eighth studio album, Give Me Dirt, which is set for release on August 7 via Bat Skull and Marshall Records.
The newly announced tour will see Cancer Bats perform at some of the UK’s most beloved grassroots and independent venues, kicking off in Dover on October 12 before making stops in Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds. The run concludes with a Halloween show at London’s Electric Brixton on October 31.
Speaking about the announcement, the band said: “We are beyond excited to announce this Marshall Made Of Loud Tour. Playing all our favourite independent venues across the UK, with Ignite and Knives, and we end it all with a Halloween show in London. This is going to be an insane tour.”

The tour announcement follows the recent unveiling of Give Me Dirt, which marks a significant new chapter for the Canadian outfit following their signing to Marshall Records. More than two decades into their career, Cancer Bats continue to evolve while maintaining the ferocious energy that has earned them a devoted following across the global heavy music scene.
Alongside the tour news, the band have also shared the latest taste of the album in the form of new single ‘Stay Stuck’. Accompanied by a humorous and nostalgic music video directed by Mitch Barnes, the clip sees the band revisiting the jobs they worked before finding success in music.
Frontman Liam Cormier described the track as one of the earliest songs completed for the new record and believes it captures a key part of the band’s identity.
“Stay Stuck was such a fun song for us to write,” he said. “It was one of the first songs that we finished while working on the new record, and we really all felt like we had tapped into the classic Cancer Bats bouncy fun element we’ve had in songs since the beginning.”
Produced by acclaimed Converge guitarist and producer Kurt Ballou alongside Zach Weeks at God City Studios in Salem, Massachusetts, Give Me Dirt follows 2022’s JUNO Award-nominated Psychic Jailbreak. The album explores themes including personal growth, environmental destruction, freedom, loss and humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
The record was created through a collaborative process that saw all four members working together in the same room, capturing the raw chemistry that has defined the band’s sound since their formation. The current lineup features Liam Cormier, Mike Peters, Jaye Schwarzer and Jackson Landry.
In keeping with the album’s themes of authenticity and reconnecting with the physical world, Cormier personally created the album artwork using traditional mixed-media techniques rather than digital design tools. Using paint, stencils, paper and even drywall mud, he aimed to create something that reflected both the band’s sound and growing frustration with increasingly polished digital aesthetics.
“So many people I find are so sick of AI these days and all things that look too polished,” Cormier explained. “I wanted the artwork to capture the energy of the album, but also represent us as a band. We are rough and dirty, our sound is loud and a mix of so many influences.”
After more than 20 years, seven studio albums and six JUNO Award nominations, Cancer Bats remain one of heavy music’s most reliable and explosive live acts. With a new album, a fresh label partnership and a packed touring schedule on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years in the band’s history.
