Austin, Texas-based Melinda Joy & Son of Cormack take listeners on a whimsical and romantic journey with “Out of the Blue.” This is a collaborative single and is Melinda’s first track to be released since her 2020 release “Beautiful Illusions.”

The track is, quite simply put, four minutes of dreamy indie folk mixed with clean Americana rock. I personally loved the blend of vocals on this, with Melinda’s sweet tones balanced off with George’s deeper tones. It was a wonderful first listening experience, and I was very much getting excited to give this a second play even before the halfway point of my first spin.
