Nils Lassen shares the hypnotic new single, Under Your Spell

Nils Lassen delivers hypnotic beauty on “Under Your Spell”. The new single is his first release of the year, following an album that was released last year in collaboration with Bo Hr Hansen.

The dreamy new single, for me, reminded me of those laid-back Arctic Monkeys songs, with plenty of breezy instrumentation and harsh, almost spoken-word vocals. “Under Your Spell” offers the listener a delightful blend of indie rock, art pop and lo-fi textures that are just designed to scratch that itch in your mind.

… adreamy, hypnotic art-rock cut that blends indie textures with psychedelic depth and calm intensity.

The layered instrumentation on this, mixed with his vocals, is rather reminiscent of Talk Talk and the aforementioned later Arctic Monkeys albums. If you are in the mood for something that is a bit on the relaxing side and yet still has that wow factor that’s going to capture your ears from the very first play, then this is the track you need in your life.

I really did like those weird, almost psychedelic synths that were dotted in and around the track. Honestly, it really helped give it that extra level of depth.

So if you like the sound of what you’ve heard so far, be sure to give this new single a listen. Once you’ve done that, be sure to check out his album “Fingerprints”, which came out last year and is all sung in English. However, if you wanted to check out one of his Dutch-speaking albums, be sure to have a look at that collaboration album –He released it at the latter end of August last year with Bo Hr Hansen.
