Angara Share Before We Forget and Reveal February 2027 Debut Album – Electric Mode

French duo Angara are back with a new emotive single called ‘Before We Forget’. The track is the title track from their upcoming debut album, being released through Berlin-based label Embassy One, giving insight into the project.

‘Before We Forget’ is a lush, euphoric track with a strong underlying rhythm. It brings a new depth to the duo’s signature ambient sounds. The track looks at how we are always influenced by those around us, those we’ve experienced and memories we hold dear. The track was the first song we knew would be on the album. It set the feeling for us and gave us a starting point. Whilst it didn’t dictate the direction of the album, it gave us this feeling we could build on. The main theme of the track for us is how we feel connected to someone we never met. Through stories told to us by others we feel like they’re always there. They influence our daily decisions and make us want to do things to make them proud. We see this song as the start of the album, being very uncertain but curious and brave. The single follows Angara’s growing relationship with Embassy One. After releasing ‘Out At Sea’ with Austrian vocalist Ren Ocean in late 2025. The track was cinematic, with shimmering melodies and hypnotic beats. The track looked at falling in love for the first time, feeling free and connected.

Their next release looked at a more direct club sound. ‘Forgive You’ features a vocal sample from Ingrid Lukas (Estonian-Swiss). The track looks at going from conflict to forgiveness and shows how Angara can take complex feelings and turn them into amazing electronic tracks. Their debut album ‘Before We Forget’ has been in the works for three years. It features songs written at various points in their lives. Whilst not a timeline of their growth, it shows how change doesn’t always happen in a straight line. It looks at how exciting it is to discover who you are, but also how uncertain it can be to watch it fall apart. It then shows how we come to accept what we have. The title came from when the album started to come together. All the songs, although written in different situations, all revolved around struggling to keep who you are when everything around you is changing. This became the link throughout the album.

Since catching the eye with their Rwanda EP on Monstercat Silk in 2021, Angara have accumulated over 70 million streams worldwide and have performed across Europe. Their unique style of electronic music takes you on a journey with rich melodies and immersive sounds. With ‘Before We Forget’, Angara start to show how big their most ambitious project yet will be. Their upcoming album looks at how we are influenced by who we are, how everything is temporary and how we are impacted by human connections. As suggested by the title track, the album is ultimately about keeping what matters.
