I enjoyed Fall and was looking forward to the sequel, and I have to say that FALL 2 certainly didn’t let me down, as the story takes us to one of the world’s most terrifying locations for an even more intense, adrenaline-fuelled holiday from hell.
After discovering her late sister’s bucket-list journal, Jax (Harriet Slater) tracks down Luce (Arsema Thomas), one of her sister’s closest friends, and convinces her to take on the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. But when a violent landslide leaves them stranded on a fragile platform 11,000 feet in the air, the climb becomes a desperate fight for survival.
FALL 2 starts with social media-like videos of the accident from the first film as we are introduced to Shiloh’s sister Jax; she’s still trying to get over the death of her sister and all the attention that it has brought to the family. Upon wanting to get rid of her sister’s Bronco that we saw in the first film, we are introduced to Luce.
The two of them decide to go on a climb in memory of Jax’s sister; what could go wrong with an idea like this! The two of them make their way to Thailand and are introduced to a guide that will take them on the “plank walk”. Being afraid of heights myself, even looking up the ladder that goes up the mountain made me feel uneasy.
Once at the top, they make their way around the mountain towards the “Devil’s Elbow”, along narrow planks that are over 4,000 feet up from the ground! With plenty of downward-looking shots from the mountain, you really get the feel for the height, and it’s certainly some sphincter-clenching moments.
As with the previous movie, things don’t go to plan, and we are taken on a journey fraught with danger and some moments that won’t surprise you but are a few little twists to keep you going.
The mistake I made with the first film was to get a seat close to the screen, so for Fall 2 I sat a bit further, but good grief, did I feel nauseous again with the scenes looking down from the “plankwalk”. I enjoyed this sequel, and although the twist wasn’t much of a shocker as in the first film, it still worked.
If you have a fear of heights, then go with someone to cling to tightly; Fall 2 is certainly not for the faint of heart. Best seen on the biggest screen you can see iton. If you enjoyed the first movie, then you’ll enjoy this sequel.

Not an easy watch if you have a fear of heights, but well worth seeing on the biggest screen possible.
