Lykke Li reconnects with The Magician on a new remix of Lucky Again, bringing one of electronic music’s most iconic artist-producer pairings back into motion.

More than a decade after The Magician’s remix of I Follow Rivers became a global dance phenomenon, the Belgian producer returns to Lykke Li’s world with a brighter, late-night take on one of the emotional standouts from The Afterparty.

The Magician flips Lucky Again into euphoric melodic house, lifting Lykke Li’s weightless vocal with warm piano chords and shimmering synths while keeping the original heartbreak intact.

The release also opens a wider summer remix campaign around The Afterparty, with new versions arriving from Horse Meat Disco, Only Fire, Rebecca & Fiona, Killen, and another The Magician remix of Knife In The Heart.

The remix arrives as Lykke Li’s catalogue gets fresh heat, boosted by Drake’s I Follow Rivers interpolation on Janice STFU. For The Magician, it extends a club-focused 2026 run after VOYAGE, new collaborations, and global DJ dates.

With Lucky Again, Lykke Li and The Magician prove the connection still works: emotionally sharp songwriting, rebuilt for late nights, big rooms, and that dangerous little feeling that maybe you’re not done healing yet.
