MXGPU Return to Discotexas with New Single Lagged Out – Electric Mode

Following a sell-out Live Under Lisbon show and a video release of their Primavera Sound Porto show, Portuguese duo MXGPU serve up a high-energy, rapid and minimal club track for their appearance at Gardens of Babylon’s ADE showcase.

The duo, known as MXGPU, are back with a new single titled ‘Lagged Out’. Following September’s release of ‘All The Love’, the latest offering from the Portuguese producers shows us their journey past their debut album ‘Sudden Light’. The sound has been heavily influenced by the high-energy live shows they have been putting on.

‘Lagged Out’ is a high-energy track that has stripped the sound right down. It is one of the most minimal tracks the duo have ever released, with a rapid tempo and an energetic melodic house beat. The track has been a staple in their sets so far. MXGPU explain, “It is one of the most minimal and rapid tracks we’ve ever done. This track really embodies peak time energy and is designed specifically for our hybrid sets.”

The single comes at a time when MXGPU are looking to bring their vision to life. Earlier this year the duo played Primavera Sound Porto in June 2026. They have released a continuous take video for their show titled ‘Live Over Porto’. The duo took to the air above the dancefloor at Primavera Sound, showing off their unique triangular stage and 360 concept. The performance showed how music, architecture and crowd interaction can work well together. It gives a whole new perspective on the duo’s ever-changing approach to electronic performances.

MXGPU Take Their Underground Vision To Lisbon With ‘Live Under Lisbon’

On October 10th MXGPU headed back to their home city for a sell-out show titled ‘Live Under Lisbon’. The project took place at Hidden Metro Olaias and turned an unusual location within the Lisbon metro system into a temporary electronic music venue. The show was curated by the duo and featured artists Adriana Ruas, Isadora (Live), Madd Rod, Sainte Vie (Live) and MXGPU (Live). The show is another example of how MXGPU are looking to take their performances outside of clubs and festivals. They are taking their music to unusual locations. They have previously taken to the air above the Tagus River in 2025 and had an elevated set at Primavera Sound Porto earlier this year. The duo have taken their creative approach further by heading to the centre of the Portuguese capital.

MXGPU Headed to Amsterdam for Gardens of Babylon ADE Showcase

MXGPU headed out to Amsterdam to perform at Gardens of Babylon’s The Seekers of Light event as part of the official Amsterdam Dance Event line-up. They played between 20:30–22:00 at WestWeelde on Sunday 25th October. The annual Gardens of Babylon ADE showcase combined electronic music, art and performance to create a space that fitted perfectly with MXGPU’s immersive live performances. They brought their signature 360° setup, featuring their unique triangular structure, to deliver a truly immersive experience.

As the project continued to develop through new releases, unusual locations and headline festival slots, Lagged Out encapsulated what MXGPU was about at the time. Its simplistic structure and fast-paced nature created a sound built for the dancefloor, while they continued to push the boundaries of electronic music through their live projects.

With ‘Lagged Out’ capturing the fast-paced and high-energy nature of their current sets, this release comes at a key point for the project.
