Clarity Liao steps away from romantic storytelling with Pouring Rain; a reflective new single from her forthcoming debut EP, Dear…
Written on a rainy afternoon, the track pairs delicate production with loneliness, uncertainty, and something that still feels like hope.

Clarity explains:
Pouring Rain was meant to be a simple lullaby explaining how I felt stuck in a place I hated, and how I feel as a person myself. It’s like a break from love letters, and a letter to myself. This song really explains the story of myself.

The single follows Clarity’s award-winning work as principal songwriter for Navillera. Too Young won the 2024 Yamaha National Best Popular Music Award, while I Need You placed first at the 2025 YMS National Composers competition.
Across Dear…, Clarity blends indie pop, R&B, doo-wop, and acoustic songwriting. Pouring Rain is its most personal moment yet.
