Korean Australian collective 1300 have officially released their long awaited debut album, ILLSAMGONGGONG, via Universal Music Korea.
Across 13 tracks, the Sydney based five piece distil everything that’s made them one of Australia’s most exciting genre defying acts. The record charts the evolution of members DALI, goyo, rako, Nerdie and pokari, exploring themes of brotherhood, identity and creative ambition as the group’s dynamic shifts from collaborators to family.
Musically, ILLSAMGONGGONG is as unpredictable as fans have come to expect. K-pop grandeur collides with hip hop, R&B, drum and bass, gabber and even goth rock, making for a record that refuses to stay in one lane. Tracks like “Headrock” and “Home” capture the group’s high energy approach, while the album’s emotional core shines through moments of reflection and self-discovery.
