Hailing from Los Angeles, United States, solo project Cable Street Riot is back with a moody new cut. The new song is titled “Everything We Didn’t” and opens up with some moody vocals backed up with a pulsating synth tone. The track was written, produced, and performed entirely by the artist and is a shimmering example of what you can set out to achieve as a solo artist if you put your mind to it.

To me, this has some dark tones from the late 80s and early 90s. In fact, it reminds me somewhat of New Order, but with a darker texture. Those post-punk sounds are hard to miss, and with the energy and atmosphere building minute by minute, it eventually erupts into an absolute earworm at the 2:30 mark.
It’s frantic, it’s full-on, it’s everywhere, and it’s everywhere you want it to be. You will certainly be hooked on this song as soon as you hear it, like we were.
I really did enjoy the final minute on this cut as it started from that tail end of the eruption, before steadily bleeding into some simplistic beats and vocals before it all echoes out. A great way to end, and a great way for you to then disappear into his back catalogue.
