Don Broco are stepping in to replace Alkaline Trio as the Thursday headliners at next week’s 2000trees.
Just hours before they were meant to take to the stage in Birmingham last night (July 3), Trio announced they were cancelling their entire UK tour after vocalist-guitarist Matt Skiba’s health took a turn for the worse.
“We are immensely sorry but we must cancel our dates in England, including tonight’s show in Birmingham, due to medical issues Matt has been suffering from that have worsened,” say the band in a statement. “He’s gonna be okay but needs to be treated stateside as soon as possible.
“We will be back healthier and stronger!”
Just hours later, 2000trees confirmed Don Broco will be back to headline Trees for the second time, having first topped the bill in 2024.
