The Daylight Dream drops the epic debut single, Sofia

Emerging from Bridgend, Wales, is The Daylight Dream, and they have recently released their epic debut single, “Sofia.”

Having just come out last week, the song has certainly been doing the rounds in our office. It seemingly captures Suga-style guitar with dream-pop sensibilities, all the while mixed in with an undertone of late 90s Brit-pop.

… amasterfully produced solo project that delivers one of the most powerful and captivating UK indie debuts of the year.

I especially liked the intro, which swiftly led to the stunning vocal tones. This project is the solo effort of Aaron Molyneaux, but to me, this sounds like a full-on five-piece band effort since it is so well produced.

It is equally a moody track and upbeat at the same time, with the vocals acting as the former and the bright, upbeat guitars and drums acting as the latter.

Mastered by Audio Animals, this impressive self-produced and engineered anthem marks a powerful, fresh chapter for the UK indie scene, with this song acting as one of the best debut singles we’ve heard all year!
